Juri Roemmel born in 1993 in St.Gallen, is a Swiss designer. He graduated from ECAL with Honors (Prix d’ECAL) in 2021. In 2022 he launched a book called “The Loss of Information and Sense“ which is an anthology of selected, machine-made images and literary works by different authors on the subjects of language, information, meaning, and data. Juri Roemmel designs objects for galleries, art projects, and serial productions. Research, material, and manufacturing processes are as much in focus as context, people, and diversity. Through precise observation and pragmatic implementation, he creates familiar objects that question habits.
