“ANC” is a collection of stools and lamps that reflect on the role of the designer and the machine in time of global automation. The name pays homage to the Arts and Crafts movement. Strongly anti-industrial, the movement was promoting a return to the traditional and medieval man-made arts and crafts forms. The objects in this collection celebrate the inner aesthetic and beauty of the trace of the machine. They act primarily out of functionality rather than decoration. The objects produced through a heavy CNC milling on a flat board of aluminum, are presented here as machine-made sculptures. The technique is usually used in aerospace to ensure optimal resistance and lightness.
